The agent
What Kakobuy is, and when it is not your agent
Kakobuy is a shopping agent: a service with staff and warehouses in China that buys from Chinese marketplaces on your behalf, receives the goods domestically, photographs and inspects them, then ships them to you abroad. You never deal with the seller directly; the agent is your hands inside the country.
On paper the service is run by EVERYDAY GO INC at a Denver, Colorado address, with a UK company, ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD, company number 16947583, printed alongside it on the contact page as captured on 2026-10-10. The site footer carries a copyright span starting in 2022. We do not print a founding year, because the operator's own pages tell three different stories about it, and a guide that guesses is worse than one that abstains.
Kakobuy is a shopping agent that moves money as well as parcels, so the paper trail matters more than the marketing. The entities above are checkable in public registries; check them.
Coverage
Which platforms it buys from
Four marketplaces are read automatically: Taobao, Tmall, the wholesale platform known by its four-digit name, and JD.com. Paste a product link from any of them and the order form fills itself. Keyword search inside the agent covers only those same four platforms (stated in the official help centre, checked 2026-10-10).
Everything else goes through Fill & Buy, the manual form: micro-shop links, second-hand listings, photo-album sellers. The official disclaimer on that form is blunt and worth reading twice. For manually filled third-party links the agent cannot verify quality or authenticity, there is no after-sales service, and a paid manual order cannot be cancelled. The four crawled platforms carry the full service; the manual lane carries almost none of it.
That difference belongs in your seller choice: a shop on a crawled platform with a worse price can still beat a manual-lane shop with a better one, because the first keeps your cancellation and after-sales rights alive.
Account basics
Languages, currencies, app and support
The storefront runs in sixteen interface languages and settles in twelve display currencies, with English and US dollars as the default pairing; a Norwegian krone option was added at some point between late May and October 2026, which tells you the list still moves. An iOS app is on the App Store, while the Android build installs from a direct APK linked on the site rather than a verified Play listing.
Human support runs on live chat from nine in the morning to half past six in the evening, Monday to Friday, UK time, with [email protected] for everything asynchronous and an official Discord server for community questions. Those hours matter in practice: a buyer in the Americas writing at local lunchtime is writing into a closed office, so build a day of slack into anything urgent.
The honest comparison
Why Kakobuy, and why sometimes not
The help centre has its own answer to this question, an article on what is special about the service. It lists convenience, more payment options, free inspection and consolidation, and money saved through consolidated freight. Read it as the operator's pitch, then weigh it against the points below, which are the ones we could tie to a published term or a dated measurement.
Start with what every serious agent does, because none of it is a selling point: buying from the big marketplaces, free warehouse photos of some kind, consolidation of many orders into one parcel, a shelf of value-added services, international lines with tracking. If a site sells you on those, it is selling you the industry, not itself.
What is actually distinctive here, each point dated and checkable: the agent charges no service fee on purchases, with the total built from item cost, domestic freight, international freight and a customs declaration charge of eight yuan per parcel (help centre, 2026-10-10); free storage runs a hundred days for normal packages, from the in-storage date in the October 10 help snapshot; inspection and consolidation are free; and an independent measurement taken on 2026-10-08 put the exchange-rate markup at about eight and a half percent over the mid-market rate, a historical measurement to compare with your own current checkout.
And the cases where you should use another agent, stated as plainly: if you need electronics tested for function or authenticity, this inspection explicitly does not do that. If your parcel sits under the weight floor of the cheap express lines, some here require two kilograms or more. If you want live help inside US daytime, the chat hours will fight you. A guide that cannot name the cases where its subject loses is not a guide; these are the limitations illustrated by the dated source material.
Red lines
The counterfeit policy is not decoration
The help centre carries a policy worth reading before you shortlist any seller: products sold through the platform must be authentic, the sale of non-authentic products is strictly prohibited, and the buyer carries responsibility for checking what they order. The listed consequences run from declined orders to suspended accounts, withheld funds and disposal of inventory.
For seller choice this cuts one way: a listing that looks like an infringement risk is not a bargain, it is a liability that can take your account down with it. The same policy page notes that counterfeit goods are the first thing customs inspections look for, which makes this a shipping risk as much as an account risk.
Our catalogue links are chosen to live within that policy, and we drop listings that drift across it.
Context
Other shopping agents, briefly
The help centre's own explainer on shopping agents describes the job in one line: someone who buys on your behalf and delivers abroad, because many Chinese shops do not ship internationally or price better at home. That description fits every agent you will meet in community threads, which is the point of this section.
You will meet other agents in community threads, and most work the same shape: buy, inspect, store, consolidate, ship. The differences that matter are the ones this site keeps harping on, fee structure against exchange-rate markup, storage clocks, inspection scope, line selection per destination, and they differ by degrees rather than kinds. We do not rank agents here, and treat any site that hands you a single winner with suspicion: the honest answer depends on your destination, your parcel weight and what you are buying. What transfers everywhere is the method: the four rounds on this site work on any agent's marketplace, because the sellers underneath are the same.

Put it into practice
Decide against your actual requirements
Check destination routes, content restrictions, payment availability, inspection scope and support access before funding an order. Several help articles identify the warehouse city as Xiamen; obtain any full shipping address from your account rather than copying an old public example.
